After a long illness and several amputations, the Olympic champion first appeared in front of the audience during the premiere of Ilya Averbukh's show "Letters of Love". Such an unusual final was at the number, which was performed by Kostomarov's wife - world champion Oksana Domnina. As Ilya Averbukh admitted, the entire show "Letters of Love" was dedicated to Roman.

- The program "Letters of Love" appeared a year ago. She was born from the fact that a dramatic story happened with Roma. At first I wanted to cancel the planned tour. But there were people who were waiting. We decided that this would be a tour dedicated to Roma. In each hall, letters of love from our viewers were collected in the foyer. Whenever I said: “I have a request for you”, everyone thought that we would start collecting money. We did not collect money, this is our family history. They put out boxes where people put their letters after each show. They brought everything to Roma and Oksana. Then the disease began to recede, they began to communicate with Roma. First by voice messages, then gradually by phone and video calls. He once told me a very important thing: "I think that Oksana should return to the ice as soon as possible." This shows his great power. Then the story was born that it was in Sochi that the premiere of our show "Letters of Love" should be given, - shared the well-known figure skater, director of the show Ilya Averbukh.

“Letters of Love” are the stories and destinies of people. Each issue is a mini story about love, about important things that are a fulcrum for every person. Love is beyond time and space. Feelings, emotions, experiences. For viewers, this will be a wonderful journey through different eras and places, through the secret corners of the soul. Famous figure skaters, champions of different years - Olympic champions Alexei Yagudin, Tatyana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin, two-time world champion Evgenia Medvedeva, as well as current athletes - Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Mikhail Kolyada and many others take part in the program. World champion Oksana Domnina, paired with Maxim Shabalin, performed a number that was dedicated to a desperate faith in the salvation of a loved one. In the final, her "partner" was the Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov. His appearance on the ice was greeted by the audience standing up.

- Thanks for all the warm wishes! All of you were worried, as was our entire large team, along with Ilya Averbukh. I felt it all, saw it all, and I am grateful to you for it. Thank you very much. May everyone be happy and healthy, be attentive to your health, all the best to you, ”Kostomarov thanked the audience.

The show "Letters of Love" will run at the Iceberg Ice Palace in the federal territory of Sirius until September 30, 28 shows are scheduled.
