The settlements of Taimyr are preparing to celebrate the traditional spring holiday – Reindeer Herder's Day.

The first festive events will be held on April 8 by the village of Nosok of the rural settlement of Karaul. Nomadic families will come here from the tundra to see their relatives and friends, take part in reindeer sledding races.

Then the villages of Novorybnaya and Popigai of the rural settlement of Khatanga will join the celebration, where the holiday is scheduled for April 15. The biggest celebration will take place on April 22 in the village of Tukhard and the village of Syndassko.

These days it will be possible to visit the ethnic camp, visit the chums, treat yourself to shurpa and hot tea. A fair will be organized for the nomads, and creative teams will perform on the festive stages. The main event of the day will be reindeer sledding races among men and women.
