Prices for 10-day tours to Sochi in September dropped by 40% compared to the second half of August. On average, the cost of a tour to the Russian Olympic capital fell by 23.5%. The cheapest ten-day tour in Sochi for two including a flight and full board in the first half of September will cost 26.5 thousand rubles. This is reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

«Trips to Crimea and Abkhazia will cost more - 30.7 thousand and 27 thousand rubles, respectively,» the ATOR reports.

Five-star hotels in Sochi are also forced to lower prices for accommodation. This is largely due to the introduction of coronavirus restrictions - from August 1, when checking into a hotel, a vaccination certificate is required.

«A "unique situation" has developed in Krasnaya Polyana. In the "hottest" period of summer, a room in an expensive hotel with a view of the mountains is cheaper than renting an apartment from private owners. And the reason is trivial. To check into a hotel, you need a vaccination certificate; to check into an apartment, it is not required,» noted an expert on gastronomic tourism, Andrei Shishkin.

The airlines have also lowered ticket prices in Sochi, according to the Kupibilet air ticket service. Before the pandemic, it was possible to buy a round-trip ticket to the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory for 15-20 thousand rubles. Now an economy class flight on the Moscow-Sochi-Moscow route with a departure in early September costs 6-7 thousand rubles per person. Thus, the discount is over 50%.
