The new rules will come into effect on September 1. Documents for tourist visas will be accepted only at visa centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk and Murmansk.

The Interfax-tourism portal, citing the Finnish Foreign Ministry, said that from September 1, the number of visa applications will be limited to 500 per day. In this regard, the official Finnish Foreign Office for visa applications in Russia VFS Global will accept applications for tourist visas only on Mondays.

In addition, Russians should apply strictly for a visa corresponding to the purpose of the trip. Otherwise, they will be refused to enter Finland.
