Large-scale changes await Rostov in the next three years - an investment project was launched here to restore cultural heritage sites and create a modern infrastructure. The details were reported at the forum "Historical and Cultural Heritage of Russia" in Yaroslavl by the well-known philanthropist, businessman Oleg Zharov.
“Restoration work has already begun in Gostiny Dvor and an atrium will be installed following the example of the one made in Moscow Gostiny Dvor. It will house one of the world's largest bicycle museum with a bicycle rental system, bicycle parking, bicycle excursions and bike tours, a network of restaurants and shops with the best examples of souvenir and gastronomic products from the cities of the Golden Ring,” Zharov said.
The atrium will also have a cultural and entertainment complex-transformer for conferences, fairs, concerts, performances and exhibitions.
Another future museum has the working title "Women's Happiness" - it is created on the basis of a unique collection donated by the family of actor, Veniamin Smekhov. And these are handbags, hats, dresses, bijouterie, lace, showing their history from the middle of the 19th century. A theater cafe with a theater and cinema museum, a museum of the history of brick with an interactive platform will be opened.
The city will acquire the largest museum of carriages and sleighs in Russia, as well as a museum of vintage cars.
