Folkfest in Bansko

Despite the established hot weather, the parade of festivals continues in the Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko. Recently, opera singers performed here, then rock musicians, and at the end of July, folklore groups from all over Bulgaria, Poland and Serbia gathered in Bansko.

In recent years, this place in the Pirin Mountains has become increasingly popular not only in the high winter season, but also in summer. Residents of Sofia and Plovdiv, as well as guests from neighboring Serbia and Macedonia, come to Bansko for "summer dachas". This resort is becoming especially popular among the inhabitants of Israel.

The guests of Bansko like to spend the cool evening hours on the central square of the city, where colorful performances are organized completely free of charge. The folk costumes of Balkan women look especially beautiful in the light of spotlights.

In August, Bansko becomes the jazz capital of the Balkans - the famous Jazz Fest has been held here for more than a quarter of a century. In addition to the musical feast, the guests of the resort are waiting for the famous mekhani restaurants of the Balkan cuisine. And, of course, the most beautiful mountains of Pirin, Rila and Rhodopes.
