Experts of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia explain this by the excess of carriers and restrictions in the regions.

Today tickets to Sochi from Moscow for August 24 can be bought for 1.5 thousand rubles one way. On average, the ticket price is about 7-9 thousand rubles there and back. Before the pandemic, tickets to Sochi with a round-trip flight this month cost 15-20 thousand rubles.

«In September, the average price of air tickets from Moscow to Sochi is even lower. You can fly to the resort from Moscow in early September for 6-7 thousand rubles there and back,»  reports the Kupibilet service.

With regard to flights within the country, round-trip air tickets have fallen in price by 30% compared to last year. In August-September, tickets in Russia are now sold on average 15-20% cheaper than in August 2019.
