Within the framework of the regional program, the treatment complex in the Lazarevsky district of the resort will be reconstructed. The facilities were put into operation in 1981 and have never been upgraded. Now their design capacity is 17.7 thousand cubic meters per day. They serve more than 90 thousand inhabitants of the region.

- Modernization will almost double the capacity - up to 30,000 cubic meters per day. We will connect new settlements to the sewerage. There will be a reserve for the further development of the entire territory. And modern equipment will multiply the efficiency of cleaning, - said the head of Sochi, Alexei Kopaygorodsky.

Design and survey work at the treatment plant in Lazarevsky will be completed by the end of 2023, construction and installation will begin in early 2024. The object will be handed over in a year. According to the regional program "Modernization of sewage treatment facilities in the Krasnodar Territory", reconstruction is underway at five Sochi complexes, one more will be built in Yakornaya Shchel. At the same time, twelve priority measures of the 2030 Comprehensive Development Program are being implemented.
