New trees will appear on the reintroduction sites of the Sochi National Park as part of the rare plant restoration program.
"The mission of the Sochi National Park for 2022 is to preserve and demonstrate for present and future generations of people the best examples of the country's natural and cultural heritage. An inventory of forest plantations of rare tree and shrub species in the territory of the national park is planned. In 13 district forestries, the implementation of the Program for the restoration of chestnut forests approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia will continue," said Mikhail Lapin, director of the Sochi National Park.
In 2022, it is planned to modernize 10 tourist sites of the Sochi National Park, such as Volkonsky dolmen, Eagle rocks, Agur waterfalls, Akhun, Azhek ecotrail, Orekhov waterfalls, Zmeykovskiye waterfalls, 33 waterfalls, Psydakh Shapsug, Najigo. It will include the arrangement of objects with autonomous toilet modules, turnstiles, as well as modern visitor checkpoints, in addition, design work is underway to equip comfortable and safe recreation areas, observation platforms, bridges and decking.
The Volkonsky Dolmen will become a pilot project in the modernization of display facilities. The well-known historical route "Agura-Eagle Rocks" will undergo changes, it will become a ring road.
