A new high–tech service has been launched at Domodedovo Airport - now customers of the Mile On Air business lounge can enter the lounge by scanning biometric data through a special terminal. This opportunity has appeared for users of the state Unified Biometric system and the OnPass program.
"We were the first in Russia to introduce eGate, an automated document verification system at the entrance to the preflight inspection area and at the boarding gates. The introduction of biometrics for access to the business lounge is another step in the digitalization of the air harbor. We are pleased to be one of the pilot airports where the service will be introduced," said Airport Director Andrey Pavlov.
In the new user scenario, biometrics is an alternative to scanning a QR code.At the same time, the client has a choice: use the facial recognition system and look at the entrance to the biometric terminal or open the application and scan the QR code.
In-person registration of biometrics is not required to access the service. It is enough to remotely register the data in the application "Public Services Biometrics".
