The Crimean authorities sent the Russian government proposals for additional security measures that will help open the tourist season on the peninsula in the near future. The package of necessary actions and the conditions for safe work were discussed on May 26 during a video conference between Sergei Aksenov and the representatives of the spa sector.

“During the online conference, we worked out a number of proposals for additional support measures, as well as examined the feasible and, in our opinion, impossible conditions that the Rospotrebnadzor designated for the activities of the sanatorium and resort sphere,” the head of the Republic of Crimea said.

“In turn, we have put forward a number of proposals at the federal level and are awaiting the decision of the federal government on key issues.”

The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea Vadim Volchenko, also noted that it is now important to develop a single position that reflects the interests of all segments of the resort business. According to the official, the government will consider the submitted proposals within a few days, after which it will be possible to make specific decisions. “We understand that in the current conditions, significant changes are required for opening the facilities, so that it becomes possible,” he said.
