The ecological campaign will start after the New Year holidays.

“After the New Year and Christmas holidays, the townspeople can bring natural New Year trees, freed from tinsel and decorations, to the ecological and biological center,” said Alexander Kilgankin, director of the city department for environmental protection, forest parks, agriculture and industry.

The Christmas trees will be processed into chips, which will be used to insulate animal enclosures and to create landscape design. The Christmas trees will be received at the address: Sochi, Alpiyskaya, 5.
