Artek gets ready for the summer

The Artek International Children's Center is ready to start its summer season from June 1, if the federal center approves the initiative of the Crimean authorities, as the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov said at a meeting of the operational headquarters.

He noted that so far only Crimean children will be able to attend the camp, while only a few camps will work in the center. They will have to meet the new requirements of the Rospotrebnadzor.

"There is a high probability that we will open inbound tourism, we will make the final decision on May 26-27, if there is no emergency, he said. 

"We have exemplary camps, Artek is able to accept a certain number of children, small groups." 

He explained that all permits will be issued at the budget expense. In turn, the chief sanitary doctor in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol Natalya Penkovskaya noted that in recent days the number of requests from other regions of the country has increased.Hiking trips are in high demand.
