The Portuguese authorities, in a situation with a sharp increase in the number of cases of infection with the Delta coronavirus strain, have slowed the pace of returning to normal life in the country's capital, Lisbon.

Now everyone who enters or leaves the Lisbon region must declare the presence of a negative test for coronavirus or a certificate of vaccination against Covid-19.

Two months after the easing of restrictions, the authorities re-introduced the remote work. Shops, restaurants and bars on weekends are subject to closure strictly at 15.30. At the same time, no more than four visitors are allowed in the premises, no more than six - on the terraces. The working time of grocery stores is limited to 19 hours.

The Portuguese Ministry of Health called on the residents of the country to show responsibility in order to avoid " the application of measures with very severe economic and social consequences."

Tourism accounts for almost 15% of Portugal's GDP.
