Almost half a million khachapuri was eaten by tourists in Sochi during the summer

More than 400 tons of barbecue, 487 thousand pieces of khachapuri and 300 thousand liters of kvass were eaten and drunk by tourists this summer in Sochi. Local mussels, which were offered in seven institutions of the resort were also appreciated by the guests. 

Since the beginning of the year, the resort has received more than 5 million tourists. From the beginning of May to the present time, more than 3.4 million tourists have stayed in Sochi, the city's airport received 20 thousand passengers a day, and 14 thousand guests arrived at the railway station every day. Seven thousand vacationers came through the Magri Post every day, the Sochi administration reported.

The resort offered more than 2,800 accommodation facilities with a total number of rooms of about 200 thousand beds. The average occupancy of resorts and hotels in the summer stood at 80%. This season, the resort has 180 beaches, 33 of them have been awarded the international environmental certificate "Blue Flag".

At the end of the year, Sochi plans to reach the 2019 tourist flow rate and receive about 6.5 million guests.
