Air transportation in Europe has grown

European airlines reported an increase in passenger numbers in May after more than a year of bad news. 

The air traffic management agency Eurocontrol recorded a significant increase in traffic from 17 to 23 May, which is 40% higher than in 2019, and Friday, 23 May, became the most active air travel day in Europe this year. 15,561 flights were completed. 

According to the forecast of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which unites 280 airlines, this year the growth of passenger air transportation in the whole world will be 52% from the level of 2019. In January, the IATA forecast this figure at 38%.
