A record 65.8 million tourists to visit Italy in 2024

By the end of 2024 Italy will be visited by a record number of tourists - 65.8 million people, which is 2.1% higher than the previous year, the research company Demoskopika predicts. 

Along with such art centers as Rome, Florence and Venice, the most popular destinations among tourists are the coastal regions of Apulia, Sicily, Sardinia and Tuscany. 

According to the World Economic Forum's Travel and Tourism Development Index, Italy has entered the top 10 most sought-after destinations for the summer of 2024.
