A New Year tree, which can be seen from space, appeared in Sochi

The main symbol of the New Year was created on the field of the Fisht stadium, which hosted the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The total area of ​​the green beauty was about 1000 square meters. It was decorated with 73 soccer balls, 200 meters of duralight was used as a garland.

«We try to please our visitors every year. Last year, on New Year's Eve, a unique Christmas tree decorated with 258 soccer balls was installed at Fisht. This year, the Christmas tree on the football field can be seen even from space,» said Veniamin Bogomolov, head of the Fisht stadium.

The unusual New Year tree consists of four tiers, each 12 meters high, with a base width of 40 meters. To create the drawing, the authors did not use dye, the image on the football lawn is the result of the reflection of sunlight from grass stalks located at a certain angle.
