The route goes along one of the oldest roads in Russia, which has been connecting Yaroslavl and Kostroma since the 13th century.

The Interfax-tourism portal, citing the Union of Cities of the Golden Ring of Russia, reports that the route is completely ready.

On the Lugovoi Trakt there is the castle of the merchant Ponizovkin, the house-museum of the sculptor Opekushin, as well as places associated with the poet Nikolai Nekrasov.

Tourists who decide to follow the route will be able to see many lakes and visit a unique point with a view of Yaroslavl and Kostroma - Teryaeva Gora.
