It was named after the month of spawning - Adler Augustine. Also, fish farmers are conducting experimental work to obtain triploid caviar, which is characterized by high growth rates and stable survival.

Documents have been sent to the federal authorities for the registration of a new breed bred on a trout farm, said Alexander Zhigalko, director of the Adler trout breeding plant.

The breeding trout farm "Adler" is the oldest fish farm in the South of Russia, it was founded in 1964. In 2022, more than 22 million pieces of caviar and almost 25 tons of fish stock were sold, which doubles the previous year's volumes. It is represented by five species of rainbow trout, two of which are of our own selection. The Sochi enterprise is the largest domestic supplier of fertilized trout eggs and fish stock to 30 subjects of the Russian Federation and five neighboring countries. To restore the natural population of brown trout - the Black Sea salmon, listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, the Adler breeding farm maintains a broodstock, prepares and annually releases fry into the Mzymta and Shakhe rivers. In 2023, the Adler stud farm began work on modernizing and expanding production capacities. The construction of a new incubation and rearing workshop, the arrangement of a sturgeon spawning workshop and a cage line are underway. The modernization of water treatment and the installation of an oxygenation system at production sites begins. The fish-breeding equipment and vehicle fleet will be updated. The total amount of capital investments for this project will be more than 520 million rubles.
