The press service of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow region reported that the regional contemporary dance festival "The City dances in parks" this year will be held in late spring and early summer. It will end with a large-scale gala concert in September.

As part of the festival, talented groups will be able to perform in 30 parks of the Moscow region. The artistic director of the project is the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, choreographer Egor Druzhinin. Thanks to the festival, many dancers will have the opportunity to take part in master classes from famous choreographers and get to know other groups.

Dance groups from the Moscow region consisting of two to 25 people can take part in the festival. The age of the participants is from 10 to 25 years old. All dancers must undergo a preliminary remote selection before being admitted to the face-to-face stage.

Last year, the festival attracted almost 100 thousand visitors. And the audience of the final gala concert was 12 thousand people. The event was attended by 37 finalist teams.
