After three weeks of voting, the Littoral de la Normandie hiking route was named «the best of France» 2020 by Internet users. The competition was organized for the third year by the FFRandonnée website, MonGR.fr.
About 93 thousand people voted for the scenic route in Normandy.
Eight routes were put forward to vote, including the famous pilgrim trail Compostelle par Le Puy in Aveyron and the Haute Traversée de Belledonne in the Dauphin Alps in southeastern France, which became the jury's favorite.
Such a contest shows that France boasts one of the most diverse networks of hiking routes in the world. The rating serves to give recommendations for the upcoming year.
