The modern and comfortable gambling zone "Zolotoy Bereg" will be built in the village of Katsiveli on the southern coast of Crimea by 2024, and, according to preliminary estimates, it will contribute about 25 billion rubles a year to the budget of the republic.

According to the first deputy minister of economic development of the Republic of Crimea Anushavan Agadzhanyan, “the implementation period of the investment project “Construction of a casino with a hotel complex” is planned from the 1st quarter of 2020 to the 1st quarter of 2024”. He noted that the project is being implemented with the support of the authorities of the republic. The project has its special project manager - the Crimea Development Corporation. The total amount of the investment is 3 billion rubles.

The law on the creation of a gambling zone in the territory of the Republic of Crimea was signed back in 2014. According to experts and representatives of the Crimean authorities, it will be able to attract wealthy tourists, including foreigners, which is especially important for the peninsula. To contrast, the gambling zone "Krasnaya Polyana" in Sochi, created in 2016, was visited by more than 850 thousand people from 146 countries in the first two years alone. In 2018, the share of foreigners visiting it amounted to 16% of the total number of guests (a year earlier - 5%). Sochi will soon be welcoming foreign charter flights. For example, Sochi established direct flights with Israel, which contributed to an increase in the tourist flow.
