The press service of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation reported that a shortlist has been formed for the “Far East – Land of Adventures” competition. 56 videos were selected from more than two hundred reports on travel to the Far Eastern regions. Most of them are dedicated to hiking.

Most of the video reports came from trips to Kamchatka, the Sakhalin region and Primorye. The top five also included the Republic of Buryatia, Yakutia and Khabarovsk Territory. The competition featured both trips that did not require special preparation, as well as routes of increased complexity. Among them is a solo kayak expedition along the coast of the Primorsky Territory from Dubovoy Bay to Vladivostok, lasting 17 days and covering 500 kilometers.

Now the jury has until November 1 to select the best projects in four categories. Among them are “walking travel,” “water travel,” “winter travel,” and the Grand Prix (the best trip), the author of which will receive 3 million rubles. As part of additional nominations, the jury members were asked to highlight underwater travel, the work of schoolchildren and people with disabilities.

Based on the results of the competition, an interactive map of routes of the regions of the Far East will be created.
