Yamal scientists to assess the impact of tourism on the natural environment of the Ingilor Park

The maximum permissiblerecreational capacity of territoriesfor tourism organization will be calculated in the Ingilor Nature Park.The research will help determinethe maximum number of touristswho can visit the natural parkwithout harming the environment,the press service of the governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District reported.

During the summer season, the staff of the Arctic Research Centerwill explore the territory of the parkand the most popular tourist places,such as Lake BolshoyHadatayeganlor, Pike Lakes, valleysof the Bolshaya Hadata and Harbey rivers.

There are 15 specially protectednatural territories in Yamal, of whichtwo are federal – the Verkhne-Tazovsky Nature Reserve and the Gydan National Park. The territoriesare home to 153 species of animals,plants and fungi, which are listed inthe Red Book of Yamal and areunder special protection.

The district is actively developing its tourist infrastructure. Last year, an ecological trail was created in the Poluisky nature Reserve and the tour route "Mount Pousierka". Yamalis increasing the tourist flow,ensuring the accessibility of travelwithin the framework of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry".
