Yakutia plans to triple the number of tourists

The authorities of Yakutia plan to triple the flow of tourists compared to 2023, the press service of the head and government of the republic reported. 

The authorities, together with representatives of the business community, are working to update the current strategy for the development of tourism in the republic until 2030. It is planned to reconstruct the Yakutsk International Airport terminal, build hotel complexes, develop cultural events such as Ysyakh Tuymaady and the Winter Begins with Yakutia festival. 

The industry is also tasked with launching at least 10 industrial tourism products and 20 children's tourism routes, as well as promoting the tourism potential of Yakutia in the regions of the country. 

In 2023, more than 235,000 tourists visited Yakutia, which is 11% more than in 2022. In 2024, it is expected that at least 250,000 travelers will arrive in the republic.
