The Arctic lesson was developed with the participation of volunteers from Norilsk Nickel and the Zapovednoe embassy charitable educational foundation.
The project was presented at the international forum of civil participation #MYVMESTE in Moscow. Now it is in the public domain on the portal "Reserved Lesson". Anyone can conduct it: both volunteers and teachers. To do this, just register on the portal and get the necessary materials.
The press service of the Zapovedniki Environmental Education Center reported that the lesson tells about the Arctic nature, its features, inhabitants and landscapes, as well as about the problems faced by the northernmost regions of Russia.
After the lesson, you can upload the final photo report to the portal. For this, the project participant will receive a letter of thanks.
Norilsk Nickel was one of the companies that presented corporate volunteering at the forum. The Reserve Embassy Foundation has been an expert partner of the enterprise in its initiatives in the field of environmental corporate volunteering for several years now. One of the key areas of work is the involvement of the company's employees in helping the natural areas of the Arctic.
The experts of the Reserve Embassy Foundation proved that environmental lessons can be held not only in the format of a boring lecture, but also in a playful way. The forum featured quizzes, tests, puzzles and games. As part of the forum, volunteers independently conducted a lesson on the “Seven Wonders of the Arctic”, collecting the most positive feedback.
