The interregional environmental organization "Green Arctic" has completed the selection of volunteers to clean up the Arctic from garbage, scrap metal and dilapidated buildings, the telegram channel "Green Arctic" reports.
Applicants for participation in summer volunteer expeditions were selected for three months. 130 men and 65 women expressed their desire to participate in the project.
As a result, a detachment of 13 male volunteers will go to work in the Ingilor Nature Park. Volunteers will have to dismantle five cluttered sites, collect 500 cubic meters of scrap metal and solid household waste, and dismantle ten dilapidated buildings.
A team of 18 people - nine men and nine women - will go to the village of Cape Kamenny. They will help local residents and the village administration in cleaning landfills near the village and in the tundra, dismantle dilapidated buildings.
