Projects for the development of tourist infrastructure in the Murmansk region identified

The winning projects for the development of tourist infrastructure in the Murmansk region have been identified, for the implementation of which 52.6 million rubles will be allocated.

According to the regional tourism committee, it is planned to implement four projects on the development of national tourist routes by the end of 2024. 

In particular, it is planned to equip a mountain trail and an observation deck at the mountain shelter "Barynya" in Kandalaksha, modernize the cultural and tourist complex "Legends of the North" in Murmansk, reconstruct the ecological "Trail of Geographers" in Kirovsk; build a new turcafe "Fersman Peak" with an exposition of the first settlements of Khibiny.

In addition, it is planned to build year-round camping facilities on the southern slope of Mount Aikuaivenchorr in Kirovsk, in the villages of Teriberka and Ura-Guba.
