More than 30 tons of waste removed at a clean-up near Novodvinsk

On Russia Day, June 12, volunteerscleared the territory of the formerRodonit lamp factory near Novodvinsk. Almost 100 peopleparticipated in the clean-up work within the framework of the CleanArctic project. Together theyeliminated the unauthorized landfilland collected more than 30 tons of waste, which were taken to thelandfill.

Subbotniks for cleaning up industrialwaste from the territory nearNovodvinsk have been held since 2023.An unauthorized landfill has been formed on the site of the formerRodonit lamp factory since Soviettimes. The territory has become a storage place for building materials,glass, plastic bottles.
