With the onset of winter, conditions for outdoor activities are created in the natural areas of the capital. Mospriroda has prepared a whole program of the events.
There will be 12 skating rinks, 42 ski routes with a total length of about 133 km for skating, as well as ice, snow slides and places for sledding and tubing.
Mospriroda reported this on its website.
In addition, various environmental and educational activities are planned.
“Interesting quests, excursions, festivals, as well as health programs will be launched,” the message says.
So, from December 20 to 31, Mospriroda invites everyone to visit the traditional "Santa Claus Eco-Workshop" - these are master classes in making eco-trees, New Year's decorations, as well as various contests and New Year's events.
And from January 2 to 8, the New Year's expedition "E.S.K.I.M.O." will take place. These are excursions, events, quests, games, master classes and discoveries that Mospriroda annually organizes during the New Year holidays on the International Eskimo Day, celebrated on January 24th.
It will be possible to participate in the Winter Duck Census - conducting a census of waterfowl - on January 14–15.
From January 16 to February 5, the city festival of creativity "Snow Canvas" will be held, where adults and children will be able to create unusual works in the fresh air - edible drawings right on the snow cover.
“When using the right food, such creative works become an art cafe for birds,” Mospriroda said.
On February 20 and 21, in honor of the World Tour Guide Day, Muscovites will be offered new excursion programs as part of the eco-marathon “Oh, my guide!”.
Participants of winter recreational and educational programs in the natural areas of the capital will spend time with benefits for the body and learn a lot of interesting things about protected areas and their inhabitants. They will be able to join ecological walks for skiers, and the representatives of the silver age will be able to join Nordic walking.
