Vyborg will host its annual Krendel Fest on November 3rd, celebrating one of the Leningrad Region's most beloved culinary symbols. This was announced on the regional Committee for Culture and Tourism website.

"Interactive activities showcasing the history of this famous treat, recreating a medieval atmosphere, a contest for the best krendel made according to ancient recipes, as well as a knightly tournament and a festive concert – all this awaits the city's residents and guests," the committee noted.

The festival will take place throughout Vyborg. A foot tournament in plate armor, following 15th-century rules, will be held at the Upper Courtyard of the city castle. The Vyborg United Museum-Reserve will traditionally organize the event.

Additionally, the Old Town and Vyborg Castle will host gaming stations, while numerous well-known establishments will organize "unique activities."

Festival guests can try their hand at archery, krendel throwing, fun fairground games, soft sword duels, and take memorable photos in themed photo zones.

Everyone is also welcome to sample baked goods from various Vyborg bakeries and participate in old-fashioned dances.
