Volunteers will help repair an animal enclosure in the Ingilor nature park in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
The first group of volunteers visited the nursery in August this year. The second group will continue the reconstruction of the enclosure started by its predecessors. In addition, volunteers will be able to take part in the filming of a documentary and get acquainted with the work of the specialists of the natural park.
The mission was organized by the Arctic Volunteer Center together with the Yamal Bioresources Protection Service. Most of the volunteers have already been on expeditions, including on Yamal.
The Yamal nursery is recognized as the largest in the world. There are two specialized ones in Canada and one in Alaska. But all of them are inferior to the Russian one in the number of animals.
Today, on the territory of the natural park "Ingilor", which also includes the habitat of musk oxen, there are more than 100 individuals of the musk bull in the complex.
