On 22nd July, Mr Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has a meeting with Ms Emma Sirca - Vice President, NBCUniversal, APAC, Client and Agency Partnerships on media cooperation for restoring Vietnam tourism in the new normal context.

In the first 6 months of 2022, Vietnam tourism has recovered robustly; welcoming 60.8 million domestic visitor arrivals, surpassing the goal of the whole year 2022; at the same time, welcoming 600,000 international arrivals. Vietnam tourism is in the top growth rate in the world, reaching 1000% in June compared to the same period last year.

The decision to reopen Vietnam tourism under new normal conditions is one of the most important and right decisions, affirmed VNAT’s Chairman. Vietnam is one of the 4 ASEAN countries and among 52 countries in the world to fully reopen tourism. The travel policy for Vietnam tourism is the most open in the ASEAN region and in Asia. Regarding the media cooperation, VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh said, VNAT hopes to receive great support from NBCUniversal in upholding media promotion for Vietnam tourism in the near future.
