Space travel company Virgin Galactic, which plans to send its first customers to space in a few months, said that 7,957 people have already been added to the list of those who want to go.

After the first trial flight in December 2018, Virgin Galactic stopped accepting applications. By that time, more than 600 customers from 60 countries had purchased space travel tickets from the company for 250.000 dollars.

However, due to continued requests, Virgin Galactic decided to continue registering those who want to become space tourists.

Now, every new client of the company, founded by billionaire Richard Branson in 2004, must make a deposit of one thousand dollars, AFP reported.
