It is necessary to provide a grid connection to implement the project of the Valla-Tunturi tourist cluster LLC of Norilsk Nickel on the Sredny and Rybachy peninsulas in the Pechenga district of the Murmansk region, said Governor of the Murmansk region, Andrei Chibis at a working meeting with Oboronenergo General Director Sergei Kiryukhin.

Chibis noted that the first glamping had already been built at the first stage of the Valla-Tunturi tourist cluster project this summer. The next stage of the project is the construction of a tourist village.

"A large-scale tourist facility with a tourist village requires adequate capacity," Chibis said. From the presentation to the working meeting it follows that Valla-Tunturi requires 15 MW. Interfax cited the General Director of Oboronenergo, Kiryukhin as saying that the company has the opportunity to transfer additional 15-20 MW through its existing networks. However, the issue of the tourist cluster will be resolved when Valla-Tunturi submits a corresponding application and the technical parameters of the project are studied.

"We are ready to join the project, since the tourist cluster is located nearer Oboronenergo," he said.

Earlier it was reported that the total investment of Norilsk Nickel in the creation of a tourist cluster in the Pechenga District until 2025 will amount to 24.8 billion rubles.

The Valla-Tunturi project will be carried out near the Pasvik reserve, which will unite various attractions of the Pechenga Municipal District and will allow the development of all kinds of tourism - expeditions, cruises, sports, etc.
