Two million trees were planted in Russia as part of the "Garden of Memory" campaign

More than 2 million trees have already been planted in Russia in three weeks within the framework of the international action "Garden of Memory". This year, during the campaign, it is again planned to plant 27 million trees in memory of the 27 million who died during the Great Patriotic War, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation.

The campaign takes place in 29 regions of Russia.

In the Kuban, for example, in Krasnodar, seedlings will be distributed for free. In support of #SadPamyatiDoma, the initiative "Krasnodar - 10 thousand trees" joined the action.

According to official data, the most popular types of trees for planting are spruce, oak, apple, pine, maple.

The co-organizers of the "Garden of Memory" are the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and the Federal Forestry Agency.
