The holiday will be held on August 6 on the Kazanskaya embankment of the city, where the leading producers of sweet treats from different regions of Russia will gather.
Guests of the festival will learn about the peculiarities of making, folk traditions, customs, rituals associated with the use of gingerbread in Russia.
“Traditionally, the program includes an exhibition-fair of gingerbread-confectioners, museums of gingerbread craftsmanship “Tula Territory - Gingerbread Paradise”, a fair of gastronomic brands of the Tula region and dishes of Russian national cuisine “Kharchevny Ryad”, the work area “Souvenirs and master classes”, interactive platforms with gingerbread games and quizzes,” the organizers report on the festival website.
The holiday program is not limited to this: guests will take part in the Tula Skorovar samovar high-speed boiling championship, tastings, flash mobs and contests, and take pictures with gingerbread art objects.
In addition, there will be performances by the Moscow Piping Orchestra and the Moscow Cossack Choir, as well as a session of the Gingerbread Checkers simultaneous game.
