Everyone could take part in the public monitoring. To do this, you just had to go outside, see the birds, identify their species and count their number. Then it was necessary to fill out a special questionnaire and send it to the accounting site.

Of all the birds seen, the participants counted the most starlings - 36522. The least number of birds they saw was black storks, yellow-breasted princelings and  eagles. Only one representative of these species was recorded by the monitoring participants.

The beginning of October is considered one of the most successful periods for bird watching. At this time, autumn migration takes place, and many species of birds gather in flocks.

The leading regions in terms of Eurasian accounting in 2022 were the Republic of Crimea, the Rostov region and the Tyumen region.
