Tourist trains "Along the Golden Ring" and "To the Northern Lights" will depart for the first time in November

The Russian Railways holding approved and published on the official website the schedule of tourist trains for the autumn-winter period of 2023 and all of 2024. It provides for the running of trains that have long been loved by tourists, and also launches new projects.

“For example, on November 3 this year, for the first time, the cruise tourist train “Along the Golden Ring” will depart along the route Moscow - Yaroslavl - Ivanovo - Vladimir - Suzdal/Murom - Moscow. As part of the trip, passengers will get acquainted with the most iconic sights of ancient Russian cities that are part of the country's legendary tourist route.

Another new tourist train - "To the Northern Lights" - will also leave the capital for the first time on the eve of the November holidays.

"It will allow travelers not only to see the beauty of Petrozavodsk, Murmansk and Vologda, but also a fabulously beautiful natural phenomenon - the aurora borealis," the company noted.

Also in the autumn-winter period, travelers will be offered a ride on traditional tourist trains to Karelia, Siberia, the residence of Father Frost in Veliky Ustyug. In addition, Ski Arrows will be assigned to Khibiny, Rosa Khutor and Kholdomi, which will take tourists to popular ski resorts.

Russian Railways reported that it is now possible to choose and plan spring and summer trips, for example, to wild Kalmyk tulips and Astrakhan lotuses, to oenology centers in Taman and the Caucasus mountains.

In 2024, the company plans to launch two new tourist routes - Zhiguli Weekend and Two Provinces, and as part of an adapted route to the Caucasus, the Pearl of the Caucasus train will make a trip from Tyumen.

As Russian Railways promises, passengers of tourist trains will be as comfortable as possible on the way.

“Their trains will include luxury, SV and compartment cars. They are equipped with air conditioners, dry closets, chargers for mobile devices, showers, etc. The trains have dining cars to make passengers feel like in a good hotel,” the report says.

The company recalled that the sale of tickets for tourist trains opens 120 days in advance.
