The Arc de Triomphe, one of the symbols of the French capital, which was "wrapped up" in a silver outfit from September 18 to October 3, was viewed by 6 million people.

The project became the embodiment of the dream of the French artist Christo Yavashev, who died in 1984. Wrapping the Arc de Triomphe in fabric was conceived by the master of land art, an art directly related to the landscape, back in the 1960s.

In 1985, he wrapped a silver cloth around the Reichstag in Berlin. 5 million people came to see it at that time.

In memory of the artist, the Paris project worth 14 million euros was implemented by his relatives and friends through the sale of original works by Christo.

To create an art object, 25,000 square meters of silver-colored polypropylene fabric and 3,000 meters of red rope were used.
