The official website of the mayor of the capital reported that this year electric boats will begin to run regularly along the Moscow River. The first route of innovative transport will be "Park Fili - Kiev".
"It will be the world's first all-year-round, the world's most modern, fully electric water transport. It will become more convenient to move around Moscow, and most importantly, it will be possible to do it without harm to the environment and health," the report says.
In the future, 21 electric river boats will gradually begin to run in the city. In total, it is planned to open 23 floating berths with four coastal charging stations and two fleet moorings with the possibility of recharging.
One electric ship will accommodate up to 50 people, including passengers with limited mobility. Comfortable tables, media screens, a bathroom, Wi-Fi and USB slots, places for bicycles and scooters will be located on board.
It will be possible to pay for travel on the electric ship with a Troika card, bank cards or through a biometric payment system.
