The third edition of the Ladakh Nomadic Festival is to be held at Hanle from July 15 -16

India's  Union Territory Ladakh is gearing up for the third edition of the Nomadic Festival 2023. This time it is going to be held from July 15-16 at Hanle village in Changthang district.
 
Festival goers can expect to see the best of cultural performances, where cultural troupes from different villages in Changthang will be presenting dance, songs and traditional sports. The main focus of the festival is to present a kaleidoscopic view of the nomadic lifestyle and traditions of the people of the region.
 
Nomadic communities in Ladakh lead a challenging but self-sufficient lifestyle, adapting to the harsh climatic conditions and high altitudes. They have a deep connection with nature and maintain a strong sense of community and cultural identity.
 
The nomadic culture in Ladakh is also reflected in various aspects of their lifestyle, such as their traditional clothing, food, music, and dance. The traditional attire of the nomads includes thick woollen robes, hats, and boots to protect against the cold.
