Today the official opening of the Russian Tourism Forum "Travel!" with the participation of leading representatives of government and business.
As part of the grand opening, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, made an appeal to the participants of the session: “Russian Tourism Forum “Travel!” timed to coincide with the start of the summer tourist season. About 60 regions of our country and other countries such as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba and others present their tourism potential here. President Vladimir Putin has set the task of accelerating the development of tourism infrastructure and creating comfortable and affordable conditions for the recreation of our citizens. The Government of Russia, within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry", provides the subjects of the country and businesses with the necessary tools to achieve these goals. This year, about 50 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget to support the tourism sector. This will allow us to build a new fund, infrastructure for resorts, support entrepreneurial initiatives, national tourist routes, and provide free, educational trips for our schoolchildren and youth. Many heads of regions take a personal part in the work of the forum, colleagues understand the importance of developing the tourism sector, which unites more than 50 industries and stimulates the growth of real economies. Traditionally, the forum "Travel!" is also a discussion platform for leading industry experts. As a result of the work, we are all waiting for your proposals for the development of our domestic tourism. I wish all the participants productive work, and the guests comfortable travels and vivid impressions!”
Also, a welcoming speech by Dmitry Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation: “I am glad to welcome everyone to the third tourism forum “Travel!”. Tourism in our country is becoming the industry that attracts the attention of authorities and businesses. The world is changing, but many things remain the same: the desire to join the culture. There is a chance to achieve a breakthrough result, and the strategic decisions that we will make in the coming months should lay the foundation for this growth. Since this year we have been supporting the forum and will continue to support it. I wish you all fruitful work, good results, health and success!”
After the opening ceremony, the Plenary session “Tourism as a factor of regional development. Plans and new solutions. At the session, the speakers will discuss the key tasks for the development of domestic tourism for 2025-2030, measures of state support and financing of the industry, and new approaches to the development of tourism.
Forum and festival "Travel!" takes place from 8 to 11 June in Moscow at VDNKh.
The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has announced that nine ski resorts in Russia will receive 31.8 billion rubles in support as part of the "Tourism and Hospitality Industry" national project. These funds can be invested in infrastructure development
