The large-scale ecological music festival “Clean Mountain” has ended at the Elbrus resort. As the Kavkaz.RF company reported on its website, volunteers collected over 20 tons of garbage. More than 800 people from Kamchatka, Syktyvkar, the Republic of Tyva, Vologda, St. Petersburg, Moscow, as well as regions of the North Caucasus took part in the cleanup.
“There is a lot of interest. This year many people came and everyone cares about the condition of the slopes of Elbrus; the whole country is represented here. To date, we have removed about 60 tons of garbage at three festivals. I hope that every year there will be less of it. Tourists who go to the mountain understand that they must clean up after themselves, their consciousness changes. The “Clean Mountain” campaign attracts caring people. This is important for the environment,” said the founder of the festival, deputy general director of “Kavkaz.RF” Khisa Bekkaev, whose words are quoted in the message.
The entertainment and concert program of the festival included performances by national groups, master classes and animation for children, as well as a fair. For all participants, the chefs prepared 400 kg of pilaf, which was sold into a thousand servings.
