The festival is held annually with the support of the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society, the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia and business representatives of both countries in the format of intercultural and professional interaction between young specialists from Russia and China with the aim of creating a strategic platform for communication, establishing new useful contacts and developing your career in the field of Russian-Chinese relations.

Traditionally, the Festival becomes possible through partnership support and sponsorship from Russian and Chinese businesses that are interested in promising personnel to implement their projects. The Rosa Khutor Mountain Resort has been a strategic partner of the event since the very foundation of the Festival.

Deputy General Director for International Activities of the Rosa Khutor Resort Sergei Khvorostyany noted in his speech:

“Russian-Chinese relations are built on the principles of mutual respect for each leader. The youth of today are the future leaders. They create new products at the intersection of industries, break stereotypes and change familiar formats. The Rosa Khutor resort is a traditional strategic partner of the festival, which promotes the development of long-term cooperation and building connections between the youth communities of our countries. We are confident that participation in the festival will expand everyone’s strategic horizons for the benefit of common prosperity.”

He also added that the next Russian-Chinese youth festival will be held at the Rosa Khutor resort. “It is very important for us that by uniting young people, we work for the long term. It is possible that the future of our relationships is being created at such forums, because today’s students or aspiring specialists years later may well lead corporations or government agencies. I would like to note that at the last festival there was a business discussion for the first time. It was a very interesting experience and in this way we are also shaping the future of business, which is also largely built on communications and trust,” said Sergei Khvorostyany.

The Rosa Khutor resort is actively working to develop international relations. Since the beginning of this year, foreign tourists from 75 countries have visited it; in the summer, more than half of the foreign guests came from the CIS countries.

“In 2019, we were visited by representatives from 106 countries. 14.2 thousand foreign tourists stayed at the resort hotels. About 34% of our guests were from the CIS countries, and the rest were from Israel, Europe, Middle East, and the USA. Then the foreign tourist flow began to be redistributed for various reasons, and now in 8 months of 2023, representatives from 75 countries have become our guests. But at the same time, the share of tourists from the CIS countries began to grow and reached, for example, more than 65% in the first half of this year,” said Deputy General Director of Rosa Khutor. As Khvorostyany noted, in August the number of tourists from the CIS decreased and was redistributed due to the implementation of a program to attract citizens from the countries of the Near and Middle East.

“More than 800 people from the Gulf countries vacationed at Rosa Khutor this summer, which is 1.5 times more than in the entire pre-pandemic 2019 and 13 times more than in 2022,” he said. As the deputy general director of Rosa Khutor recalled, in November 2018 a cooperation agreement was signed with the Kazakh resort Shymbulak, and in April 2022 with the Amirsoy resort in Uzbekistan.

In June of this year, the resorts signed a memorandum of intent to create the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts (EAMC). The alliance office will be located in Kazakhstan.

All three resorts will be connected by a single calendar of sports and cultural events and festivals.
