The international scientific-practical conference "Polar Bear Universe" will be held in Anadyr on October 18-21.

As expected, experts and scientists will be able to discuss the work of bear and eco-patrols in the Russian Arctic, as well as the prevention of conflict situations between humans and polar bears at the event site.

The press service of Roscongress said that the purpose of the conference is to study and protect the polar bear in the Red Book. During the discussions, the results of the latest scientific studies of the Chukotka-Alaska polar bear population will be presented. The study of its features was carried out this year on the coast of the Chukchi Sea and Wrangel Island using unmanned aerial vehicles.

In addition, the participants of the event will be able to discuss further plans for the study of the polar bear in the Russian Arctic and exchange experiences.
