The reforestation season begins in Russia

The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources announced the start of the reforestation season in the Rostov region, the Republic of Dagestan and the Krasnodar Territory. Preparatory work is currently underway in Crimea and Kalmykia.

"Artificial reforestation was carried out on an area of 11.5 hectares in the Rostov region, on eight hectares in the Republic of Dagestan and on two hectares in the Krasnodar Territory. Also, in the Republic of Dagestan, afforestation was carried out on two hectares," the message says.

This year, the volume of reforestation and afforestation is planned for an area of 1.4 million hectares. The purpose of these activities is to ensure a balance between the disposal and reproduction of forests.
