The press service of the national park reported that the consequences of the “damnable” snowfall threaten wild animals. According to the observations of experts, the animals began to go out more often to open and wind-blown spaces with less deep snow. After the snowfall, leopards have already been seen twice near the track. There are cases of accumulation of roe deer and deer in the immediate vicinity of the roads.
"This creates a threat of poaching of animals, including the leopards and tigers themselves. Currently, the number of hunters in this part of the region has increased due to a ban on hunting in a number of other districts of Primorye," the report says.
In this regard, the protection of protected areas has been strengthened. Increasing the number of patrols will help protect animals and respond quickly to violations.
