The seventh Days of Sephardic Culture took place in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, from November 4 to 6. Prominent figures from the Sephardic diaspora in Bulgaria, Romania, Israel, and Turkey participated in the event. For three days, the Bucharest Jewish Community Center offered everyone the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Spanish Jews.
The event featured photographs and documents that told about the life and traditions of Sephardim, as well as lectures, colloquiums, and tastings of typical dishes from a Sephardic tavern. The public enthusiastically welcomed the performance of artists who performed authentic Ladino music.
The demonstration of the richness and diversity of Jewish cultural heritage in the friendly atmosphere of the Romanian capital is intended to promote intercultural dialogue and mutual respect.
The Sephardic Culture Festival was organized by Jewish communities from several countries with the support of the Romanian Ministry of Culture.
